We’ve published tons of content and hosted several webinars over the past year, and before we start to rev the engines again for 2025, here are some of our top picks from 2024.
It’s been an awesome year for the team here at Poppulo, and in July, we hit an amazing milestone, which our CEO Ruth Fornell shared in this blog: Are You one of the Poppulo 50 Million?
Spoiler alert!—our employee communications now reach more people than the population of Spain, Argentina, or Australia—and that doesn’t even count the hundreds of millions reached with our customer-facing Digital Signage solutions.
Quite the year for Poppulo, eh??!!
Speaking of which, in this blog, Top Features of 2024, Innovation Unwrapped, my colleagues Kelly Parisi and Heather Bicknell recall the top product features Poppulo released this year, showcasing how they’re making it easier for customers to craft personalized, dynamic, and effective communications—whether for email inboxes, digital screens, or workspaces.
A great friend of Poppulo and one of our regular collaborators, Joss Mathieson, contributed this great read: With So Much Change at Work We Should Use the F-Word More to Shape Culture. It’s one that will resonate right through 2025, and beyond.
Another great friend of Poppulo and frequent collaborator, Joanna Hall, also focused on something that should be top of mind for business leaders and their communication advisors for the year ahead: Building Trust in 2025: The Power of Effective Leadership Communication.
Digital signage has always been a highly effective communications tool, both for customer and employee comms, but rapid technological advances that create highly immersive experiences offer boundless possibilities. In this blog my colleague Mic Wilborn and AVIXA’s Sean Wargo take us through The Digital Signage Landscape, Explained.
On a similar theme, we took a closer look at Why Digital Signage is the Future for Customer and Employee Communications.
In a year when AI again dominated conversations about the future of internal comms, one line stands out in my mind as going back to basics and a reminder of what communicators should never forget. It’s the wise words of Pia Stocklund from our Engage ‘24 Conference:
“Colleagues outside of the communications department don’t look for comms solutions. They look for business results.”
Here’s a whitepaper we produced from that conference discussion with Pia and Gallagher’s Sharn Kleiss: Strategic Communications: Why It’s Vital––And How to Do it Effectively.
On that point by Pia, proving business results and showing how internal comms initiatives led to behavioral change can be a challenge if communicators don’t have access to a platform like Poppulo, with its powerful analytics and ability to reach all employees wherever they work.
So, it’s always great to hear stories like this from the amazing Asha Isaac, Head of Internal Communications & Culture Change Communications at the London Borough of Tower Hamlets: Here’s A Classic Case of Internal Communication Driving Connection & Behavioral Change.
Change featured prominently this year, and one of our most popular webinars was a discussion between Joss Mathieson and Helen Cunningham, Head of Global Change and Internal Communications at Amadeus: Getting Change Communications Right During Constant Transformation.
Two other topics—which, like change, will continue to focus minds in 2025, were connecting with frontline workers, and employee wellbeing. Digital signage is increasingly being recognized as a key tool for reaching frontliner workers, so it's no surprise that this guide from our webinar was a hit: Closing the Divide: How Two Companies are Engaging Frontline Workers with Digital Signage.
We all know the importance of employee wellbeing, both for the individuals themselves and for the success of the company they work for, but just how important it was made abundantly clear at our Engage ‘24 Conference, where Oxford University’s Professor Jan Emmanuel de Neve presented compelling findings from unprecedented research.
It was absolutely fascinating, and you can read about it here: Employee Wellbeing and Business Impact: Insights Fom the World’s Largest Study.
One of our last webinars of 2024—with the awesome Zora Artis—was also a winner, and if you missed it, you’ll want to catch up with her invaluable insights before the new year gets too old: Future-Proof Your Leadership Comms: Trends and Strategies for 2025.
Finally, this annual favorite looks on target to be your favorite post from our 2024 catalog, as it taps into the invaluable insights of some truly amazing communications experts: Top Internal Communications Trends 2025: What the Experts Think.
Now, roll on 2025 for another year of great content from the team here at Poppulo! Please don't forget that we always love feedback, so if you've got ideas on how we can do better, email me at tvaughan@poppulo.com
Thanks!
